Just to get you started read below
Start of with voting (found on the top left hand side) , then do the 8 mile (found in city) see if you got any mails and check if you have been invited to any crews Your Crew Invites (0) try rating some people up just to get some friends till you get stronger.
Do crimes to lvl up and to get some cash going. See if you can bust people out of jail so they do the same too you and you will gain EXP. Plus new added feature Bust offers [See help section in Prison]. Try get into a crew to have protection and they can lend you weapons and cash to start off. when you get at a higher lvl try create a crew for your self.
Join crew battles for Daily cash prizes. Dont leave any cash running around for now try get a bank account as soon as possible.
Check out deathrow on your city page if the user is a lower rank user then you claim him, hospitalize him and you will get rewarded. Get a job & a course its a good thing to do to ern cash and stats to start off with.
If you have any points try sell them on the market or go to halloffame (The charts in city page) see who is rated alot and try trade with him Via SMS
Use the flash games to gain money whatever you win from the flash games
[ Pacman | Goldminer | BlackJack ] they will be converted into game money and credited to your Account Automaticaly.. Car Races Are common too, betted / for fun or high stakes.
New additions are called Timed bombs
Basically this is how it goes 4 bombs scattered in different cities

Name: 6 Minute Time Bomb
Name: 5 Minute Time Bomb

So they go into your locker you go on the Bomb tab find use and send them to a user by typing in the users ID IF he manages to disarm it he will get a good reward in points
IF he fails he goes for a random time to hospital and you gain some good EXP, all events have been added
1 rule to observe you can send to anyone but the time only triggers when someone is online for less then a minute if he goes offline the timer will triggered when he gets back online, Pretty easy :)
